1. What data we collect

During registration, we ask for your name, email address, and a chosen username. When using Picksy, we store your lists, wishes, and any claim data. When filling in the contact form, we process your name, email address, and message.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service: creating and sharing wish lists, sending emails (confirmations, invitations, password resets), and responding to contact requests. We do not use your data for marketing or share it with third parties.

3. How long we keep your data

Your data is kept as long as you have an active account. After deleting your account, all data will be permanently removed within 90 days.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. You can delete your complete account and all associated data via Settings. For questions or requests, contact us via the contact form or info@picksy.nl.

5. Cookies

Picksy uses functional cookies that are necessary for the operation of the service. These cookies fall under the exemption of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (article 11.7a paragraph 3) and do not require consent.

Session cookie: used to maintain your logged-in session.

Claim cookie (picksy_claim_token): stores an anonymous identifier (UUID) that allows us to remember which gifts you have claimed. This cookie does not contain personal data. Duration: 1 year. The same value is also stored in your browser's localStorage.

You can delete cookies through your browser settings. After deleting the claim cookie, your previous claims will no longer be associated with you.

We do not use tracking or marketing cookies.

6. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
